I think second place should have been first because it was a way better picture
Wonderful picture!
A bit of friendly, constructive criticism for 3rd place. I wonder what it would have looked like if you took the photo and gave it a sepia filter. It might have given the photo a bit more flare, since black and white can be over used sometimes.
Also, 2nd and 3rd place, if you have an external flash, it might have been a bit better to bounce the light off the room around you, instead of having it bounce right off the subject. When you bounce if off the subject, it tends to make the picture look a bit more harsh, while bouncing off of a wall for example, would give the photo a more full kind of light.
